Interzones is the first Erasmus Mundus Joint Doctorate Programme selected and funded by the EU for its innovative and challenging approach to the Humanities. It is designed to nurture and promote research in the field of comparative literatures, visual culture and anthropology, in a dynamic, multi-centre and cosmopolitan environment. Co-ordinated by the University of Bergamo (Italy), the Interzones Consortium (5 Degree-Awarding Partners and 11 Associate Members around the world) seeks to prepare top students to become tomorrow's "global academics" in the field of European Humanities, or highly-valued consultants in private business sectors interested in global cultural phenomena
